The Lancaster Chinese New Year Festival for 2011 was a pilot project to bring together over a period of a month a comprehensive range of Chinese arts and culture to the city of Lancaster. It covered everything from Chinese Opera to Contemporary Fine Arts exhibitions hosted by a number of established arts venues across Lancaster.
Working to a tight deadline – I produced a website, booklet, posters and programmes for each of the events. I also created the vector illustration of a Chinese opera singer as a visual anchor across the promotional materials.
One of the biggest challenges was working in two languages side by side and ensure the information was still concise and easy to grasp!
